Where’s the best place to watch the sunset in Hawaii? While some may prefer a front-row seat to mother nature’s nightly production, I would argue that the best sunset viewing exists above sea level – 13,796 feet above to be exact.
Life offers few experiences in which your 50th time is equally as exhilarating as your first. While most captivating experiences tend to lose their allure after several successions, there are some beautiful things in life that, really, never get old. You know, those life events that never cease to amaze you, no matter how many times they occur (like getting married – I would assume, or taking that first bite of pizza). Portland, OR, the city renowned for hipsters, pet lovers and all things quirky, is one of the hottest cities for young transplants. In fact, Portland has consistently led the nation in rental increase, with home vacancy rates as low as 3 percent. The increase in demand for housing along with strict urban growth limitations has made affordability and finding the right neighborhood more difficult than ever in Portland.
There’s more to Boise, Idaho than meets the eye. Beneath the city’s “famous potato” stigma and blue turf fame lies a thriving downtown scene boasting a variety of (constantly improving) bars and restaurants. Whether you’re a native Boisean or just passing through on your way to better-known places, don’t discard the downtown bar scene. READ MORE

A short ferry ride from Seattle, Bainbridge Island is one of my favorite places to visit anytime I’m in Washington. Though the island itself is beautiful, the wine is what lures me back again and again (for an introduction to the different wineries check out my post “Sipping through Seattle: Wine Tasting on Bainbridge Island”). Recently, I had the opportunity to return to Bainbridge Island and explore some new wineries as well as visit old favorites during their annual “Wine on The Rock” event.
